Environment Variables Page
In this page you can add environment variables to the install package. These variables are added on the target machine during the installation process.
The information presented in this article can be applied in a similar fashion toEnvironment Variables Page from Merge Module Project .
Creating new environment variables
Use the [New Variable… ] toolbar button, the “New Variable…” context menu item or press the Insert key while the list is focused. In the Edit Environment Variable Dialog - Installer Project you can set the variable’s properties.
Editing an environment variable
Use the [Properties… ] toolbar button, the “Properties…” context menu item or press the Enter key to activate the Edit Environment Variable Dialog - Installer Project , where you can set the variable’s properties.
Locating the attached component for an environment variable
Use the “Go To Component” list context menu item or press theF8 key while a variable is selected. This command will activate theOrganization page with the appropriate component selected in the left tree control.
Removing environment variables
Use the [Delete ] toolbar button, the “Delete” context menu item or press the Delete key while an element is selected.
In case of Merge Module projects the following attributes can be made configurable at merge time:
- Name
- Value
